#6 at Palmer

Eastbound Erie train #6, the "Lake Cities" approaches the County Line road overhead just east of Palmer, Indiana in March of 1959, C.L. Coates photo. This view is looking W/N/W towards Crown Point, Indiana. The small hamlet of Palmer would be about 1 mile ahead on the right. It looks as though there is an intermediate semaphore signal attached to the bridge Mr. Coates is standing on, as seen at the extreme right-hand side of the photo. The Erie's mainline was straight at this angle between Crown Point and Kouts.
