Boy, It was COLD
The ambient temperature on February of 2019 was quite the contrast to July of 2020. In fact, it was cold enough to put goosebumps on a brass monkey, to put it mildly. Tom Nanos and I sat at Scotland Dam for what felt like an hour waiting for NR4 to return East from Willimantic. Between the wind chill off the Shetucket River and a high in the twenties it was a little difficult to press the shutter by the time the boys showed up. GP38-2's #2008 and #2006 have the honors, 40 years old and still getting the freight over the road.
