Approaching Peacedale

One of the features of the original 5.5-mile railroad loop at Edaville Railroad in South Carver, MA was a tiny village of small-scale buildings called "Peacedale." With the elimination of the complete loop around the Atwood Reservoir in 2005, that village had to be relocated in order to remain a part of the park's excursions. Here, Monson RR #3 and Edaville #11 double head a special excursion train at the north end of the present-day, 2-mile loop. The train is passing a small, covered bridge and will shortly pass through the relocated village of Peacedale.
