Carrie furnace

A scanned color print. Carrie furnaces #3 and #4 in Rankin,Pa. were built in 1941 and torn down by the Park Corp. of Cleveland around 1989. View is of the south side as seen from across the Monongahela River in Munhall, PA. They made the molten Iron that was then shipped over the river on the Hot Metal bridge to to be refined into steel in the rest of the Homestead mill.
