I am an avid amateur photographer. I received my first camera, a brand-new Kodak Hawkeye at the age of seven and casually shot film until 2000. That year I bought my first digital camera and became obsessed. Today I shoot both digital and film. I love the immediate gratification and editability of digital, but there is just something primal about Black & White film.

By profession, I am a retired airline pilot. While flying I always had a small film camera in my flight case but found I took a lot more photos when I replaced the small film cameras I was carrying with a new Nikon E990. Since then, my primary (non-Flight Case) cameras have been Nikon DSLRs and now a Z8. I have used Nikon SLRs for film since about 1980.

While I can't claim to be a photographic artist (certainly not compared to others on Flickr), I hope you enjoy my photos.
