Welcome to my Flickr Website!
At one point I had over 7000 images and 8 million views here but I have opted not to use the paid version of Flickr but the FREE account instead.
My photography interests include birds, animals, landscapes, astro, macro, special events, car shows, concerts - OK, pretty much everything.
Some of my photography has been published in magazines, a university text book, CD cover for a band, TV and Radio interviews. One crazy tornado image over my neighbors house with a rainbow under it went viral on the internet with an article on my and the picture published in newspapers around the world. Yahoo's home page at the time was displaying it. I was even interviewed on live TV from Global TV in Calgary explaining the circumstances around the image - the world is a funny place to watch things take off.
Editing is what I really put my efforts into though and have learned how to edit images using Lightroom and Photoshop's LAB Color Space. Its not an easy task learning LAB mainly on my own but it produces superior results. Topaz Denoise and Gigapixel are now part of my editing process.
I am recently retired in 2025 so now I have more time to pursue photography instead of trying to squeeze it into my life.
I like to think of myself as a Professional Amateur Photographer. Always being an Amateur keeps you hungry to learn new techniques all the time which is what I am.
