In 2005 I began posting pictures to Flickr and since that time I have learned quite a bit about photography and editing pictures. This is a great environment to chat with other like-minded photographers who photograph the same topics as me.

In 2025 I retired from my Human Resource and Safety career and now have time to focus on photography full-time. I tend to be a year-round photographer who shoots what is abundant at that time of the year. This includes birds, animals, car shows, macro, sports, events, landscapes, old farms, etc.

I like to think of myself as a Professional Amateur Photographer. Being a "serous forever amateur" keeps me humble and learning.

The learning part of editing photos since 2005 has never wavered from using Adobe Photoshops "L.A.B. Color Space" as my base. In LAB you can easily separate out color from black/white/grey while still using the amazing tools that Photoshop has tucked away in the RGB world. So if my images look unique, that is why, its the editing.

Originally I am from Windsor Ontario, Canada where I moved from in 1980 with my school buddies to Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I married my girl from Windsor and we set up life in Southern Alberta, Canada. A beautiful area of the country where I can always find something to photograph.
