I photograph wildlife and nature. Wild flowers, mostly. I love wild orchids especially. I have and will continue to photograph other stuff, of course. Food, live music, carnival, landscape, my family, my dog, sport, rusty stuff, you know...

I currently use a Canon 90D camera and have a collection of lenses, but I mostly use my Sigma 105 mm 1:2.8 DG macro HSM and my Canon EF 50 mm 1:1.4 lens. I'll probably buy a big 600 mm lens to shoot birds when I'm a big boy. Oh, I also have a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which takes a pretty good photo when I'm travelling light.

I'm recently back on Flickr after a very long absence. I no longer have a desktop PC. The Android mobile app for Flickr is truly awful. I'll struggle on.

I have known Steve, off flickr, for many years and have always known he was obsessed with the outdoors, from birds and wild flowers to the rusty and crusty natural decay of the world around him. He sees beauty in the darkest corners and with his super talent for photography he records this beauty to share with all of us. On flickr his love of bokeh and Hertfordshire and his keeness to share ideas and techniques make his groups a wonderful place to discuss ideas and swap gossip ;-) I learn a lot from you Steve, you are a super friend! Long may your skills continue to grow with each new camera you buy..... ;-) xx
