I like to photograph the natural world. Wildflowers, birds & insects etc. Mosses & lichens are recent additions to my portfolio. I love wild orchids especially. I will continue to photograph other stuff, but I'm getting a bit too old for live music, sport, festivals & carnivals these days.
I currently have Canon EOS R7 and 90D cameras and a collection of Canon & Sigma lenses. I mostly use my Canon RF 100-500L IS USM for birds and wildlife and my Sigma 105 mm 1:2.8 DG macro for wildflowers, insects, lichens & mosses. I use my Canon EF 50mm f/1.4 USM lens for creative depth of field stuff. I recently replaced my Sigma macro lens for the RF 100mm F2.8L Macro IS USM. Early days. Watch this space, but it feels & handles really nicely.
I've been back on Flickr for a couple of years following an absense of ten years, due to work & illness.
I manage the photo galleries on the website of the Hertfordshire Natural History Society. The galleries that I look after cover everything except birds. You can submit photos to me at hnhsphotos@hnhs.org. I need species name, location & date taken. Photos must have been taken in Hertfordshire. Bird photos can be submitted to birdphotos@hnhs.org but someone else will look after those.

I have known Steve, off flickr, for many years and have always known he was obsessed with the outdoors, from birds and wild flowers to the rusty and crusty natural decay of the world around him. He sees beauty in the darkest corners and with his super talent for photography he records this beauty to share with all of us. On flickr his love of bokeh and Hertfordshire and his keeness to share ideas and techniques make his groups a wonderful place to discuss ideas and swap gossip ;-) I learn a lot from you Steve, you are a super friend! Long may your skills continue to grow with each new camera you buy..... ;-) xx
