Who we are:

Gary, Linda, and our Border-Collies Gracie & Lucy have been sharing adventures together for many years: Backpacking, Bicycling, Hiking, Canoeing, Rafting, Kayaking, Cross-Country Skiing and Snowshoeing. Many of these sojourns are contained in the sets that make up this photo-stream. Our main goal is to inspire you to go out and see these places yourself.

We’re off to Ansel Adam’s Wilderness!

Thank you if you make me one of your contacts, please don't be offended if I don't reciprocate. I already have more contacts then I can Keep up with.

Nuts, bolts and Philosophy:

Photography is the composition of an image at a chosen vantage point followed by the selection and subtraction of real objects rendered with a chosen depth of field and exposure time. Our photographs are images burned on 200 ASA color print or 100ASA T-MAX B&W film in an Olympus XA rangefinder with a Zuilo 1:2.8 35mm lens or an OM-4 typically carrying one of the following lenses: 1:3.5-4.4, 35-70mm Zuiko Zoom , 1:2.8 35mm Zuiko, and a 1:2.0 28mm Vivitar. I’ve started experimenting with #8 and #15 Yellow filters on by B&W shots on our 2009 Ansel Adams Wilderness trip. An Epson Perfection V300 photo scanner and Picasa 3 software are utilized prior to posting on Flicker. I do not own photo-shop. These images depict the real and marvelous world around us. Computer generated images are another type of art form.

#15 Yellow!
