Started in film doing all my own developing and printing, moved to digital in 2003.

I am most definitely a walkabout photographer, taking pictures of what I see while I'm out though I do occasionally go out with a specific aim in mind.

I like to try and capture mood and atmosphere. Seeing that and getting it right is always a learning process.

I follow people for a variety of reasons. I'm not a prolific fave'er or commenter and a bit of a sporadic photographer and Flickr user but if I'm following you and you're active I will be looking at your photostream. I enjoy looking at peoples work.

Of course I'm still after that ultimate shot, maybe I'll get it one day or maybe I've already taken it!

I am interested in gear, even though I'm pretty settled on the system I have now but ultimately more or better gear doesn't help me take better pictures, in fact it's a distraction (I've written that down to remind me).
