2024 marks my 37th year of Chasing Severe Weather in Nebraska & Beyond.

I've been a member of Flickr Since 2007

I currently host close to 30,000 Images of Severe Weather here on Flickr

I currently Curate (as of January 2024) 150 Active Groups Here on Flickr.

I've been chasing storms since the early 80's, out in the plains of Nebraska. A passion to capture the moments that mother nature brings every spring summer and fall to South Central Nebraska. Yes I chase the storms, but I don't travel all that far to get these superb captures of natures fury. I seem to have a knack to be in the right place at the right time.

I'm not egotistical, my photography is an extension of what I call art. Since I cannot draw, or paint, but I can get to the right place at the right time when severe weather approaches. These are a collection of my doing so.

2023 Went By Fast... Really Fast.

Since I soundly focus on the Severe Weather of the Plains of Nebraska & Beyond. I wait for each season with a passion to capture the severest weather events. Nebraska is Unique. Our seasons are usually 4 months apart. But 2023 deemed to be different that past years. Where I currently live in South Central Nebraska we are under a drought. The normal rain patterns have shifted over the past 40 years. I remember when Grand Island Nebraska (just to the east from where I am) Use to be called the Tornado Capitol of the world. In the 70 & 80s... That has changed...

Now I'm not a meteorologist. I sure wanted to be but the way life turned out the opportunities passed me by. By my choice. Life seems to push you was & directions you never thought you would take. Now much older & wiser than my younger self. Showing some wisdom & being careful in everything that I do when I chase severe weather.

I thank you for coming this far & clicking on the About Section. So to let you know that I'm retired & have some extra time to do what I enjoy... Flickr. So Yeah I'm Old but the Thrill of the Chase will never end. I'll do it till I die! #ForeverChasing

Curate 150 Flickr Groups. I'm Monetized on my Facebook & YouTube Channels.

I have a link to Twitch for Live Streaming... However. I have broke my mount in Mid May 2023. Then I hurt my back severly bad. Had to back out of the Storm Chasing game til my back healed which was Mid June... So my Twitch does remain active. I'm working on different ways to stream. Not with another provider I'm looking at new technologies that can help me make it easier to do when I'm on the chase. I will return to Twitch in the sometime in 2024.

I was lucky though. I storm season that usually starts in Late March into May... didn't show up at all till late MAY 2023. The Spalding Nebraska Tornado Event. I missed this due to I couldn't get into my truck. I honestly tried to get in. Loaded all my gear & used a step ladder to get up... I still could get in the vehicle. That was EXTREMELY disappointing. I took about 6 weeks of bed rest before I could come out of my shell in 2023. This also lead to finding out my back is broke in 3 places. Long story short. If I have the surgery to fix it. I won't walk again. So as long as I take care of myself, I can still do the things I enjoy. Carefully...

Our Severe Weather Season really didn't start til Late June of 2023. Lasted all the way til the end of October. Way different than in years past. I had time in May - August to Edit Video & Pics.. Once September hits & its Harvest Season. I'm busy. Why I'm late to get all the pics posted from 2023.

Flickr Side of Things....

My personal Flickr photostream and albums are getting a long due overhaul which I started back in the early days of 2023. New reworks of Images I couldn't process in years past. Now close to 30,000+ images is my goal for 2024. I'm close. It's work in progress.

Looking forward to another year of Storm Chasing Tornado Alley in 2024. New faces and new equipment to make this a whole new adventure. Picked up a Insta 360 Cam with wicked outdoor tripod that I'm going to attach to the truck this year.. That should bring my video Experience to a New Level... Wait for it!

New toys for storm chasing tech... I'm pumped!
