''mbgrigby...mbgrigby...'' (yes...that's how our dear Rita used to adress her ) my dearest friend, who has been supporting me since the very first day I started trying photography on flickr..Mary Beth knew me from the days when I did nothing but post my son's captures with some funny balloons.. I knew she liked them a lot and here is what happened when I started to take photos: I remember those early morning hours in Turkey, when I was just going through trials and errors in my own silence .. Each time I posted one of my trials, she would surprisingly show up and make a very sincere...encouraging comment also indirectly helping me to find a better way..It was as if she was by my side looking at every one of my photos..I still hear her voice in the silence of the night..When I posted my very first ugly rose, with the title ''Coveting Macros'',MB said ''stop...you're cracking me up'',and that's it.. No other flower shot of mine,no macro is so valuable as that one and it is still there,at the very beginning as a symbol of the great love between us...as a reminder of those sweet moments.. I can never ever forget her sincere friendship... And as to her inspiring photos...she never stayed where she was...always aiming at a step further in whatever she was trying..mbgrigby is a great artist, professional photographer and yet always an amateur in her soul, knowing how further she could still go in the poetic depths she keeps exploring..That's what stimulates her great enthusiasm and excitement as well as ours when we view her amazing images.I've learnt so much from her wondrous works and yet she is so incredibly fast in ascending the steps to perfection ...to creativity! I just look up from the beginning steps and wave to her with all my love and admiration. I covet mbgrigby ;))

MB, what can I say?? You rock girl and I look forward to seeing each new post!! Big Hugs!!

Mary Beth's work has evolved over the past few months, from lovely shots - sharing her locality, and her most beautiful Lizzie, to the most stunning, artistic works. Her technique and talent is unique. I've learned such a lot from following her. Lizzie brings me such joy every time I see her. Is there a more loved little girl? Maybe as loved - but not more.. I love the wonderful places she shares - her local cemetery is one of the most peaceful, pretty places - I rush to see them whenever they are uploaded. The way she captures flowers is amazing - she has a gift. I'm particularly taken with her "textures" phase.. thank you Mary Beth - another lesson learned - it's like having one to one online tuition. She's also a pretty remarkable woman - who I'm really proud to call a friend. Thank you Mary Beth - for the life lessons - and sharing the things around you - most importantly - for Lizzie ♥

Mary Beth is a great Flickr member. She regularly takes the time to leave comments on my photos which are always appreciated.I'm sure she does this for many other Flickr members too. Mary Beth has some great photos in her own photostream particularly her flower shots and those of her cute little Havanese dog Lizzie

you can see in mbgrigby's photos that she actively works to take better and better photos -- you can see the progression in her photostream. Some beautiful macros here and of course her dog Lizzie is the cutest model. I can't wait to see where her work goes in the future!

I like very much mbgrigby photos, especially the beautiful album Pens and Papers, but what I love more are Lizzie’s photos, because I see that the little dog means much for her. In the photos of Lizzie you can see the love of her owner, and I like it very much. I think that life is better with dogs. I was very glad when mbgrigby added me to his contacts list, and I like to follow his daily life and look at these small details that make their photos so attractive. Sorry for my English, I know it’s very poor, but I hope it is sufficient so that my friend mbgrigby can understand to me.
