Throughout the years, I have always taken general/basic snapshots (with DSLRs, compact cameras, and mobile phones). I made it a point in 2010 to submerge myself into the "art of exposure" in order to enhance my skills. I have enjoyed the journey thus far and continue to do so each day. I am enjoying learning (though instruction, experimentation, and hands-on) how to use my camera manually as well as lighting, composition, and post processing techniques. For the most part, I like to keep things simple (manually set the camera for the scene, frame, shoot, PP). Every so often the inspiration comes to do a shot that requires setup and or lighting.
I mainly shoot with a 5D3 (my previous employer had a sweet corporate discount with Canon that I just couldn't pass up). My main lens is the Canon 24-70mm f2.8L. I'll whip out the wide angle and macro from time-to-time. I also shoot with my iOS, and Android devices.
Spending time with my family is #1 on my priority list. I also enjoy distance running - Ultramarathons, marathons, and half marathons are my favorite distances (Boston Marathon qualifier/participant). I love Tim Burton movies and all things Disney (we do have annual passports to Disneyland)
I look forward to learning from you all and viewing your digital depictions!
