I am an aspiring teacher and an art lover. The media I most often work in are photography, photomanipulation, and other digital creations, although I also have an affinity for acrylic and gauche painting, as well as plain ol' pencil sketching.
---------------------
I got an iPhone 4s a few months back, and have just really discovered Instagram. I think I'm going to become addicted quite fast.
Aside from the iPhone, I shoot with a Canon Rebel XT, and currently the only lens I have is the one that came with the body, which is the 58mm. I mainly use Photoshop CS5 when I am editing, although if I'm unable to use it for some reason my #2 editor is Picnik.com.
I really don't have a particular subject that I always shoot, but some of my favorites are: inanimate objects, landscapes/scenery/nature, and architecture. I am working on becoming more comfortable with portraits, and candid street photography, because I admire both styles so much, and would like to be able to try them myself.
As for the old "how much editing is too much editing" argument, I'd have to say it really depends on the photo, and the look the artist is trying to go for. My photos range from completely untouched, to highly Photoshopped, depending on my mood and what I feel works for that particular photo.
