Fleur Winter is an artist who produces sculptural figurative artworks in stoneware ceramics.

"My work is about creating elegant and innovative form through the construction of hand-coiled or press-moulded vessel forms. My inspiration is taken from the human body, in particular its abstract qualities and the forms that occur naturally within it."

"I regard my work to be both statuesque and monumental in both its structure and size, continuing to make larger pieces. I want my work to be displayed in large open spaces, and to be view as if a large 3D painting."

"All my work is twice fired to stoneware temperatures, are glazed and are weather proof."

Fleur worked at the Guernsey Pottery, alongside an established family run pottery in Guernsey, whilst producing work for her first major exhibition in 2005. Then lived in east London for 10 years and shared a studio with several other ceramicists, working as a full-time, self-employed ceramic artist and teacher.

She now lives in Cornwall, working at the Leach Pottery and making her own work.
