Fleur Winter is an artist who produces sculptural figurative artworks in stoneware ceramics amongst other things. Fleur has recently experimented with forming clay slabs, using glazes, and creating her own processes using slip and paper clay.

"My work is about creating elegant and innovative form through the construction of hand-coiled or press-moulded vessel forms. My inspiration is taken from the human body, in particular its abstract qualities and the forms that occur naturally within it."

Her work is twice fired to stoneware temperatures, are glazed and are weather proof.

Fleur initially worked at the Guernsey Pottery, alongside an established family run pottery in Guernsey, whilst producing work for her first major exhibition in 2005. Then lived in Hackney for 10 years and shared a studio with several other ceramicists, working as a full-time, self-employed ceramic artist and teacher.

She now lives in Cornwall, having worked at the Leach Pottery, she now teaches and makes her own work from her local studio in Falmouth.
