About Me:

101003 [...Be it positive or negative]

While being out with some old friends and some new friends one of them asked me; “How did you get in to photography?”

There is this one black and white photograph I made with a shoebox pinhole camera that I built eight years ago.

Is a photograph of my old high school taken from the main street. The shoe box [pinhole camera] rested on the edge of a wall. Inside there was photographic paper. It’s shutter was a piece of cardboard that had to be closed at the guesstimated time. I took the box to the lab and ran the photo paper through the chemicals and slowly a perfect image of the front of the high school began to appear. From there on I was captivated.

I captured that moment forever, everyone to whom I showed it to couldn’t believe it either. It was awesome. suddenly all this people captivated by one single image. Could I reproduce this effervescence of feelings and ideas everytime? Photography allows me to do so. And from there on it has been my motivation. Evoke something. Whatever it is be it positive or negative.
