I am an amateur photographer, if I can even call myself that! I have just bought myself a DSLR. It's my first camera. Certainly a big jump from the camcorder I have been using to shoot stills until now. Still getting used to the many dials on the camera. Shooting pictures has taken a back seat due to priority #1 at the moment - writing my thesis but hope to get out there more often when I am done!

Equipment: Canon EOS 400D + kit lens (not very happy with this but will have to do with it for now)+ Canon 50mm f/1.8
