I am an idealistic lawyer crusading for social justice and the rule of law. Meanwhile, I also like to pretend that I know how to take nice photos.

More about my photography: I shot fairly prolifically with a manual focus film camera -- a Pentax Program Plus SLR and a 50mm lens -- between 1996-2002. After a long and regrettable hiatus from SLR photography that was necessitated by the volume of work and the lack of funds during law school and articling, I finally bought a Canon EOS 40D in the summer of 2008 -- and then a Canon EOS 5D Mk III in 2012, and have since been rediscovering my love of photography with these remarkable cameras.

My favourite photographic genres include macros, street photography, and candid photos, as well as landscapes, portrait photography, and artistic/conceptual-type shots. I'm hoping to work more with models/victims as I solidify my technique, expertise and portfolio.
