I am an idealistic lawyer crusading for social justice and the rule of law. Meanwhile, I also like to pretend that I know how to take nice photos.
More about my photography. My later father was a photographer and film cameraman in the 1960s and 1970s before going back to school and becoming an engineer. He passed away very young, but I have his same enthusiasm for photography. My older brother taught me how to use a manual SLR in the 1990s using our dad's own camera. From there, I shot fairly prolifically with a Pentax Program Plus SLR and a 50mm manual focus lens between 1996-2002. After a long and regrettable hiatus from SLR photography that was necessitated by the volume of work and the lack of funds during law school and articling, I finally went digital with Canon EOS 40D. Now I carry around a Canon EOS 5D Mk III, and I have since been nurturing my love of photography with this remarkable camera alongside some vintage 35mm and medium format film cameras.
My favourite photographic genres include macros, landscapes, cityscapes, ruins, and urban decay, as well as portrait photography, and artistic/conceptual-type shots. I'm hoping to work more with models/victims as I solidify my technique, expertise and portfolio.
