I live in Cowes, Isle of Wight, U.K. A busy little port on a very beautiful island off the south coast of England which my family and I have enjoyed for over 40 years. It's a common story here, but we came for a year and are still here decades later!

Until May 2024, I was a crew member of Cowes RNLI lifeboat station, so lifeboats and the station are likely to feature in my photostream from time to time!

Apart from the sea, the Island and island life features greatly in my photographs. But the varied nature of the place - and my interests - hopefully provide some photos that are worth viewing and I hope that you enjoy them.

Just before Covid lockdown #1 I decided to try to learn to sketch - or rather to rejuvenate something I used to do up to my early 20s. I may include a few sketches in my Photostream to show how I'm getting on. My Instagram site, @submariner, shows many of my sketches, too.
