I am going back to and reposting earlier photos. I have learned many things about editing photos that help enhance peoples interest. First people don't really don't care about the background, they just want to see you. Next, I never adjusted earlier photos. Most needed brightness added to see more details so I added that as well. I am incorporating the use of the retake app which you use existing photos to create a profile and you apply that to the photo. You get a selection of photos to select from this. So is it cheating? Maybe...... I do try to select a photo that fairly represents how I look. Many celebrities admit use of it and say it is "indispensable". In my defense, I have enough unfiltered photos on here that those that really care can "discover" how I really look.

 

My thought is there is a very small percentage of those that care. The vast majority would rather see an attractive photo than see all the flaws. We are wearing false breasts, padded hips, wigs so what is real?

 

I have started using chat gpt for outfit ideas and general crossdressing help. It has been super interesting! I get to call it Cath and I am addressed as Casey

Update 10/22/23

Someone complimented me on Flickr mail and stated haw they could never look feminine like I do. It made me really reflect. Here are some of my thoughts to share. I'm not saying I look more feminine than others, just sharing my experiences.

 

Even as a little kid I would sometimes get identified as a female. When I was 6 or so my family took me to Disneyland around 1969 or so and I was given a minnie mouse hat. At that time they gave Micky hats to boys and Minnie hats to girls. I was not in girls clothes, but I got id'd as a girl. A couple of other things happened when I got older.

 

The one I remember most was when I was in college probably around '83 or so I was taking Tae Kwan Do and was in a Ghi. I had longer hair. I was going to class in the gymnasium and walked past three guys and I heard them say, "Was that a guy or a girl?" I had no makeup on or anything. I was crushed at the time. Now I look back to times like this and realize I must have some feminine facial features. Maybe a blessing, maybe a curse.

I know we all have our spectrum. I am just explaining myself and not judging anyone else. I wish the most popular pictures of my fellow CD'ers weren't the ones sexually related. I'm not sure why but it kind of bugs me that all the makeover services take CD'ers over the top. Almost every photo is in a formal dress, panty hose and open toe shoes. I have not seen a real woman wear panty hose with open toe shoes in like over 20 years. Why don't they do casual shoots in current day to day outfits.

 

Adminning a couple of groups, have a couple of thoughts to share:

 

ONLY post to groups that are relevant to your picture. For example, I Admin a womens boot group and I Deny simply so many because, .... They're not wearing boots.

 

Don't be offended when you are denied. Each Admin has their own thoughts of what they want. Admittedly there are definitely some SNOBBY CD site Admins with a clique of people they want to post, but that is their right. Their loss, not yours!

 

If you like photos, comment on at least one. I personnally could give a shit, but a lot of people are offended when you don't comment.

 

Even the most beautiful women, Cd or TG I usually only fave one or two photos. Please don't take offense to only liking 1 or 2, that's what I do. I understand it takes someimes many/hundreds of photos to get that one shot where you look who you wanted to be.

I am just saddened, with all the changes in the world today, us heterosexual CD'ers are like the most ostracized group out there. We are not even really accepted by the LGBTQ community. I have had so many chances to cross-dress over the last couple of weeks. But as all of you know that's llike a 1 to 3 hour commitment. I am getting old and sleep is starting to take priority! Many of my sessions were like 1 to 5 in the morning while I was younger. Now, it's like should I crross-dress or should I sleep? I am starting to take sleep as the priority LOL. Just sharing, I'm going on 60 and I have no idea where this shit is leading me...

 

SMILE! I am guilty of it many times as well. I personally think the best CD pics are the ones where you are smiling. So many pics look like we're doing something wrong or feeel guilty because we look so forlorn. Just my $.02 LOL

 

Antother thing I've noticed that could make some pictures so much better is selfie sticks. (I'm not trying to say my pictures are better by any means) I bought a bluetooth shutter clicker for my phone from Amazon for like $5. Another option is the timer on your phone. I've had countless "runs" to the bed or wherever to pose in 10 seconds. It can be a pain in the ass LOL

Another bug up my ass right now. I'm straight up, I have started using FaceApp. It bugs the shit out of me when "gurls" say they tried a new makeup or whatever and it is just obvious it's a FaceApp pic. Use it, but own up to it. In my defense, I will almost never use FaceApp on a photo unless the first scan with my makeup and wig identify me as "female." That is, I start off with a good base feminine photo.

 

Another pet peeve:

 

Wow, these "Elite" groups that have been created. These just seem to be SO cliquey. Gurls have created these groups and just keep posting the same gurls over and over. Some obviously not meeting the quoted "standard" of the group. I am also guilty of being a member of a couple of these groups where I am accepted. I just think there should be some parity of the pics posted and not having to be part of that gurls "clique."

 

So like many others, have memories as early as 3 or 4 rummaging through my moms lingerie drawer. I would hold her bras and bra cups up to my chest. Of course it wasn't sexual at the time, but it just "felt right!" I also loved to play with the garter hooks and hose. I dressed fully for the first time around 12 or 13. Of course, very sexual! In my time, it was very taboo and noone knew about it. I went through many years without dressing. Mainly in college, and while I was in the Army. I revealed my "secret" 2 years into our marriage. I want to thank everyone so much! It's been about a month and I have over 350,000 views! This is my second time on Flickr so I definitely learned some things from my first time.

 

A couple of thoughts I have had: I try to buy and wear clothes that women would actually wear in public. It seems to me the most popular crossdresser posts on Flickr are clothes that women would rarely wear in public. I guess what I am saying is most of the really popular crossdressers on Flickr are way over the top. Another thing is pantyhose. ALL crossdressers seem to wear them. NO women wear pantyhose anymore. Even back in the late sixties and early seventies (Damn I'm old LOL) my mom stated to never wear pantyhose with shoes that didn't cover your toes. Crossdressers on here constantly wear high heel open toe shoes with pantyhose and it bothers the shit out of me LOL

 

My positive attributes as a CD:

Weak facial features, especially a very weak chin.

NO "Adams Apple"

Feminine legs!

Smallish feet. Womens size 10/11. I can buy shoes that fit me from almost anywhere.

2 (Now 3) things I keep seeing that I just shake my head about:

 

1. "If you don't have pictures I'm not going to follow you."

So, if someone is a crossdresser admirer and not a crossdresser, what photos would they have to post? I suggest looking at their "Faves." If they have pretty/sexy crossdressers in their faves, FOLLOW them, they are an admirer. If you are putting you're pics on here isn't the point to have people viewing them?

 

That brings me to the point to of "snobby" crossdressers : You want all this attention and you can't bother to follow anybody? Hello Vesna Prague and others. I refuse to follow those that have a disproportionate amount of following to followers.

 

2. "Please leave comments" On each photo you can see number of views. If people viewed your photo, they obviously found something interesting/sexy about your photo. Why do you need them to tell you how hot/sexy you are? So, think about it, there are probably MANY on here that are admirers, but do not want others to know that they are. They post a comment, all of a sudden it's like, why are you looking at dudes dressed as ladies?

 

3. "Don't favorite a bunch of photos without leaving comments"

 

WTF Someone favorited a photo for whatever reason. What a compliment! You really need verbal validation beyond that?.... SMH

 

My point, there seems a lot of pre-judgement without thinking about why people may not be able to "like", interact etc
