La città è lo scrigno degli scrigni, perchè contiene tutta l'arte, tutta l'umanità. Amo il silenzio evocatore ed atavico che, nelle piccole ore della notte, dona a Lei, prima chiassosa, il sapore di migliaia di vite passate, un sentore di quasi eterna onniscienza.

The city is a treasure , because it contains all art, all humanity. I love the evocative and atavistic silence that, in the small hours of the night, gives Her, once noisy, the flavor of thousands of past lives, a sense of almost eternal omniscience.
