Retired automotive engineer with a passion for photography. Love to get out and explore. Love the dynamics of being in motion. Planes, trains, and automobiles - as they say - plus motorcycles and boats too! Video is very popular with some, but I prefer a really good still image. You can stare at a still images for ages and take in every detail, even go away and when you come back still get joy in staring at it again.

Early on I shot a lot of people portraits, especially street portraits - kind of like street photography but with the subjects permission. I have been getting back into that a bit recently along with a return to film photography with a Yashica D tlr, and a Nikon F. Growing up I recall my big brother shooting with a Yashica D. He was 10 years older than me. I presume it was a hand-me-down from my dad, when my dad bought his first Nikon F. I have a picture of my brother at Canada's Expo '67 with that Nikon around his neck. The serial number on the Nikon suggests it was from 1966. I also still have the 105mm f2.5 lens that was my favorite of dad's collection of lenses for the F.

I cover many events under my business name Strungfoto. If you see images you would like to purchase without the watermark, please contact me at larry.strung@me.com
