"Had small LEGO sets when I was a kid. Am an old school model builder (Revell, Testors, Monogram WWII tanks, battleships, aircraft carriers, etc.).
Love the whole model building hobby.
Many years later, son 3 got a Mega Bloks Pro-Builder Helicopter. We enjoyed it immensely. Great bonding moment.
Went in search of more, realized Lego and Mega-Bloks are two very different companies, and Lego clearly stood out as the superior designer and high brick quality standard.
Early '08 got INDIANA JONES TEMPLE ESCAPE*. Fantastic kit, loved it ever since and the search for more began.
Really got into Lego collecting at San Diego Comic Con 2008 purchasing IMPERIAL DROPSHIP and REBEL SCOUT SPEEDER for my 5 year old son. We also were lucky enough to get the BRICKMASTER SAN DIEGO COMIC CON EXCLUSIVE INDIANA JONES set (which was limited to 500 kits) at the same convention.
We've been hooked ever since!!!
Favorite themes are INDIANA JONES (all-time) and Star Wars.
Having a great time with the Super-Hero lines as well as building Agents and NinjaGo kits (lots of fun and good build techniques).
Pursuing some holy grail sets such as:
