Canon v1.0 (Locked — Full Version)
B1NR is a sculptural system that reduces form to its most elementary logic: two elements, two states, no excess. Constructed exclusively from discarded PET bottle security rings and nylon zip ties, the work operates within a closed binary vocabulary—rings as zero, ties as one.
DICTO treats material not as metaphor but as evidence. These objects are not symbolic stand-ins; they are artifacts of global consumption, mass replication, and control. By refusing alteration beyond assembly, B1NR preserves their industrial intent while reassigning their function. Meaning emerges through structure alone.
The sculptures reject intuition as decoration. Decisions are governed by internal rule sets, repetition, and constraint. Variation is permitted only where the system allows it. In this way, B1NR mirrors digital logic, linguistic evolution, and engineered languages: rigid at inception, adaptive through accumulation, never expressive without consequence.
Despite their industrial origins, the works remain resolutely physical. They are flexible without collapse, responsive without deformation. When exposed to gravity or the elements, the structures hold, absorbing stress through distributed tension rather than failure. This balance between abstract logic and material endurance is central.
DICTO’s practice is not concerned with representation, narrative, or personal expression. B1NR does not describe the world; it behaves like it. The sculptures exist as records of process—compressed decisions made visible—where form is the unavoidable residue of rules applied over time.
