Use what talents you possess; the woods would be very silent if no birds sang there except those that sang best.

The whole point of taking pictures is so that you don’t have to explain things with words.

I retired in 2023 from a career as a mental health professional while my was first career was a photographer, now I am again a photographer. My focus is to improve my craft and enjoy the great outdoors pursuing the light and shadows.
I graduated Brooks Institute of Photography in 1984 and worked in the Los Angeles area as a freelance photographer working in multiple formats for advertising clients. I then I went back to University to earn a Master's Degree, becoming a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. My 27 year mental health career was serving serving the public at non profit and government agencies.
While my mental health career was starting up, I took a break from photography for several years. During that time the changeover from film to digital happened in photography, what a difference and new challenges. Now I use mirrorless cameras and an iPhone. What amazing results from these computerized cameras! I am having fun traveling the Western United States in an RV with my wife and pets while making photographs.
Thank you for taking a look around.
