I'm a retired commercial 2-way radio and cellular communication technician, field engineer and operations manager. I also spent several years working mostly part-time as a broadcast announcer/DJ spinning everything from records in the 1960s to hard-drives in 2010. I also served in the U.S. Air Force from 1968 through 1972.

Although born and raised in Marquette, Michigan, I spent most of my life in Biloxi (on the Mississippi Gulf Coast ), and Austin, Texas with a short stay in Nakhon Phanom, Thailand in the early 1970s.

After I retired in 2008, I returned home to Marquette.

I've always had an interest in photography since my first Kodak Brownie Starmite that I bought with S&H Green Stamps when I was a young teenager. I've had several cameras since, and still consider myself an amateur photographer.

Amateur radio is another hobby of mine, and since 1961 I've held the call-signs WN8AQL, WB5FCO, WJ5MH and AJ8MH.
