About this shot
So they didn't want to let me in over at Battersea Power Station!? But I really wanted to take some close-ups! That's when Inflatable Me (TM) came in handy...haHA!
After taking some shots of Battersea Power Station from the other side of the Thames (below) I crossed Chelsea Bridge to see how close I actually could get to the power station, walking around the site. Unfortunately the whole area was closed with quite high fences...
Pink Floyd
The reason I was interested in Battersea power station in the first place, is because I'm a huge fan of pop-art and I love the music of Pink Floyd. The Pink Floyd album 'Animals' (1977) featured Battersea power station on its cover with a giant inflatable pig 'Algie' flying in the middle of it. A unique concept which tickled me to go see the place for myself. :)
