Empty London
Check it out on black or at 1280 x 800 pixel if you care. ;-)
About this shot
First night in London, on a Monday. I kept walking and walking until there was no one on the streets anymore... it was unbelievably quiet. I was alone here. Can you believe it?
Alone with that black menhir thingie, hehe.
I knew it was forbidden to use your tripod here (not that anybody was around to check) but I brought my Manfrotto tiny table tripod. Technically a tripod but so tiny no security will bother you with it. :D It's also excellent because it urges you to use weird point of views you'd not easily come up with when you're taking your regular tripod with you (see below).
Later that week shooting together with Scott Wilson, Scott was told by security he couldn't use a tripod here because it's a 'private area' but he could use the (river)wall, because it's 'public'. Right. :-)
