260 Kelvin Indoctrination

Canadian winters can be tough and it takes a lot to get used to especially when you’re out and about doing photography. In Ottawa, -10 degrees C is very common and under these conditions that the average Canadians find it normal, my brain will freeze. Then, there are the thick gloves making it difficult for your fingers to dial the camera settings. When it snows, the flurries will stick to your lens and if it gets too cold, the batteries will not work. On many days, the sky remain overcast and when the clouds finally clear-up to let good light through, it means the mercury would have ridiculously dipped even further down. Very challenging and many things can go wrong. Still learning to be patient, maintain composure and not rush the shots simply to escape the cold.
