Het was een mooie ochtend en de vooruitzichten waren goed voor een mooie, kleurrijke zonsopkomst bij het Paard van Marken. Helaas gooide een band bewolking op de horizon even roet in het eten: de opkomst was niet te zien. De zon zou er even over doen om boven de band uit te stijgen. Toch hielpen de wind, wolken en golven een mooie scène creëren, die het prima doet in zwart-wit.
It was a nice morning and the forecasts were showing a good chance for a colourful sunrise at the Paard van Marken lighthouse. Unfortunately, a strip of clouds on the horizon hid the sun at the moment itself: no sunrise. The sun would take a while to rise above the clouds. Still, the wind, clouds and waves helped create a pretty scene, which works quite well in black and white.
