Squirrel!!!! I'm assuming this male Red-tailed hawk of the pair I was photographing spotted a squirrel in the woods. He dove from several hundred feet up, and disappeared into the woods. He didn't reappear for nearly an hour. I couldn't tell if he'd eaten since I couldn't get a view of his crop.
