Cute, but not...
I watched this female pademelon and her youngster for quite a while outside my accommodation just outside Mt Field Natioinal Park. The female paused from lawn mowing, did some big retching heaves and the baby, which was a few metres away ran up to her enthusiasm and tucked into whatever she had retched up. I assume this is a tried and true method of making sure your offspring has plenty of gut flora. Interesting to watch ....but not overly cute :-) The severe pink eye was modified using red eye reduction for people. I'm not sure it really worked for pademelons.
