true love....

this has been quite a year so far of self discovery for me. i guess some may call it a mid life crisis of sorts. i have always been creative in one way or the other.... but just couldn't find my niche. i grew up watching my mom sew, and was never interested.... until this year. my mom gave me the best gift ever - a sewing machine, for my birthday, and i've been tinkering with it ever since, really only getting serious about it this past couple months. i have never felt more like myself.... ever. last night my sewing machine broke - totally seized up. i was LOST. i didn't know what to do. i felt like my friend had just abandoned me. ha! well, after some very wise advice from some fellow etsians, and some help from my husband, i got it up and running today.

 

so..... sewing machine... i promise to love you, and hug you, and pat you, and take care of you, and oil you... yes, oil you..... ;-)
