Theresa Sims
I met her at the Bloom Cafe
on Pico in Los Angeles. She is 97.
Her husband, Paul Sims, was a host
at Chasen's restaurant in Beverly Hills,
and died in 1988. She is bright and
seemingly happy though she confessed
to me that she doesn't feel well, she's anemic,
and, she said in a hushed voice,
"I don't have any sex."
I took many photos of her, all of which
are wonderful. She ate some bean soup
which she loved - said she's been losing
a lot of weight, and rarely has an apetite.
But she said she sometimes has parties
for friends, and would like to invite me.
I'm glad. I'm there.
