Donut Shop on Victory

on an unusually rainswept

day in Southern California,

when I asked her if I could

take her photo, she looked

stunned and amazed at the

proprietor of the establishment,

a small Asian man, who returned her bewilderment

with bewilderment of his

own,

but she consented,

and I told her she had a great

face, and took her photo,

after which she said, "I hope you won't be disappointed."

 

I assured her I wouldn't.
