This was going to be the library before "SOBA / American School of ? " abandoned it's mother. "Building Arts" must not include the structure that started the idea for this school. The protection / stabilization and eventual restoration of this building should be the primary goal / living classroom. A major piece of history is left and the promised restoration of the paddy wagon never happened. Why did I fight so hard? Why did I write the proposal to start a school that does not even acknowledge me?
The lease will probably be transferred to someone else. $1.00 a month is quite a deal for such magnificent history, space, grounds, artifacts, storage. The port will kick the Noisette campus out soon. They did somehow find time and cash for a grand renovation of a navy warehouse, they do not own. Meanwhile OCJ, my passion, the building I love so much is cracking, rotting and becoming one with the earth and cats, I am sure.
