Toy Town Paraty
In about 250 km from Rio on the Atlantic coast you will find a "toy town" called Paraty. It was built in 17th century. When the expedition found gold in Brazil (in the end of 17th century), Paraty became a special port to send gold and diamonds to Portugal. Paraty is an important architectural monument considered by UNESCO. All houses are restored and you'll find a great number of cafes, restaurants, hostels, hotels, very nice souvenir and art shops there.
