LEGACY OF AGENT ORANGE

Sài Gòn, Vietnam, 1997 - Leica M6J, Elmarit 90, Kodak Tri-X

I read this statement on the Web: "At a time when US tobacco corporations have been forced to pay billions of dollars in the US to compensate the victims of smoking, it would seem only reasonable that Monsanto be forced to pay billions to the Vietnamese for the catastrophe Monsanto has wrought on their country.". Is there only money for trying to compensate for damages caused by dioxin? I fear that man will remain the worst animal on earth. Before his death in 2008, Philip Jones Griffiths signed for me a copy of his mythical book Agent Orange: "Collateral Damage" in Viet Nam (2003) with these words "May we never forget...". There are so many things everybody must not forget for sure...
