Just after the Amtrak Pennsylvanian went past this NS high rail vehicle made a quick pass for a maintainer to inspect the track. They were likely checking for heat kinks on all three lines which pass Cove.
After taking the photo and zooming in on details, I noticed the truck hasn't passed PA state vehicle inspection in a while. Their sticker expired in May of 2023.
