An excerpt from Hunter S Thompson's novel Rum Diary. It is a semi-autobiography written by Thompson much earlier in his 20s, which was put aside by the author. After much convincing from Johnny Depp decades later, this book got published.

 

This book was also made into a movie directed by Bruce Robinson starring Johnny Depp.
