Fireworks Friday - Colorful IllumiNations
I really enjoyed shooting the holiday edition of IllumiNations when I was down last year in December. I didn't, however, realize how much it added to the display. It rather startled me when IllumiNations ended more quickly than I had anticipated. However, I was able to get some great low shots, as that's one of the wonderful thing about IllumiNations: a lot of the action takes place close to the water. I'd love to shoot this with a bit of a wider lens, though, to see if I could capture more of what's happening reflected in the water!
All said and done, though, this shot is truly a favorite of mine due to the variety of colors I found. It's not often that I find teal fireworks, so that really drew my eye upon review. Last year, I shot from the Rose and Crown, this year I was stationed just outside Italy. I like how, if you really look, you can see the dock-pillars that the gondolas tie up to silhouetted at the bottom of the frame. It's a subtle hint that takes a couple views to see!
