Baby Amazon

This is one of the baby Amazons, just 30 kms old and already 700 m downhill the Peruvian Andes. After another 60 km of meandering some of these small rivers form the Río Marañon which merges with the Uquayali to be named 'the Amazon' from Iquitos, Perú.
