Aperture Control on Canon FD inverted lens

When you reverse a Canon lens you can not control the lens aperture except by manually adjusting the ring that controls the aperture; changing a cap as shown, you gain the ability to open/close the iris with a simple rotation of the cap.

To pierce the cap I found a drill bit made for similar work: it is called the tip cup and, in addition to the normal drill point, has a hacksaw blade willing to circumference. Once you have that and a vise the work you do in a moment

Quando si inverte un obiettivo Canon non è possibile controllare l'apertura dell'obiettivo se non agendo manualmente sulla ghiera che controlla l'apertura del diaframma; modificando un tappo nel modo indicato si ha la possibilità di aprire/chiudere il diaframma con la semplice rotazione dello stesso.

Per bucare il tappo ho trovato una punta di trapano fatta apposta per lavori simili: si chiama punta a tazza e, oltre alla normale punta perforante, ha una lama di seghetto disposta a circonferenza. Una volta che hai quella e una morsa il lavoro lo fai in un attimo
