Been there, done that, but sure wouldn't mind doing it again
While I was happy to have been able to make it out to a few frozen waterfalls so far this year, one of the ones I did not make it to (at least yet ) is Wahclella Falls, one of my favorites in the Gorge. This is a shot from that falls from last year. It was pretty quiet and pretty cold. One of the nice things about Wahclella is that while it generates a decent amount of spray which turns into an icy covering during the Winter, the way the spray is funneled off of the falls never really impedes most of the nice vantage points, unlike other waterfalls who we shall not mention.... cough cough Elowah cough cough ahhhemmm...
