Rose Festival Navy Ships
This is a pinhole image I made earlier this year, during Portland's Rose Festival. Every year at Rose Festival several Navy ships make their way up the Willamette River and dock along Waterfront Park. Unfortunately this means the city is overrun by sailors and that access to the park is pretty severely restricted, but it does present some new photographic opportunities such as this one. This shot is about a 15 second exposure taken from the Steel Bridge. I saw the colors coming up in the sky from the sunset and was hurriedly looking for something to match them with and found this scene. I kind of like it, obviously. ;-)
