There is, to me at least, such wonderful significance of red doors on churches. It reminds me of the red cord with which Rahab saved her family (and then ended up in the lineage of Christ as the mother-in-law of Ruth and great-grandmother of King David); the Passover, when blood of lambs being used to paint the Jews' doorways to protect them from God's wrath; the red cord on the Temple doors turning to white once the scapegoat was taken away; the curtain of the Holy of Holies being torn from top to bottom.

 

It's such simple but powerful symbolism - and a reminder that with His death and by His blood, we can speak directly to God and appear before our Creator as pure as Jesus Himself.
