2014-11-25 Moroccan carrot red lentil soup and a birthday
It would have been my mom's 79th birthday today - the first one she is not around to celebrate. I was planning to go to the Japanese garden to sit down and be with her in spirit, but the day unfolded in a different way. At dinner, we lit candles for her and listened to Chopin and the music the band played as the Titanic was sinking - she liked to play that on the piano.
